Duraflame firelogs are made of a scientific blend of sawdust, wax, and unique fibers. Some interesting materials tested have included recycled fibers such as nut shells, seeds, fruit pits, distillery grains, and recycled cardboard. Natural seed is added to some logs to create the crackling sounds of a wood fire.
